Liz Ashurst
-is a practising artist and qualified teacher specialising in textiles. Light, colour and energy are the key factors in her work, which draws in inspiration from landscape, flowers and foliage and her travels in eastern Europe and India. Residencies have included The Roman Palace at Fishbourne, Chichester, Benenden School, Kent, St. Andrew's and St. Matthew's schools, Cobham and Royal Kent School, Oxshott. Here she uses recycled fabrics, threads, polythene and other materials.

4 - 8 session projects aiming to complete sculpture for indoor or outdoor sites in the school. One Day Workshop: Shadow Puppet Making: Constructing in wire, plaster, cement; drawing work on Indian dance/human movement forms ie. Drawing, paint on fabric, figures in plaster.

Donagh Curwen
Donagh is a local artist offering a wide range of art and craft workshops in various media. Longer residencies have successfully worked towards the creation of a life size model of Henry VIII at Elmbridge Museum and pieces of public art including relief panels and sculptural forms in local schools. Inspireworks
We offer quality Balinese and African workshops by experienced practitioners in schools and youth communities, that provide rich and stimulating experiences across 'the arts' involving music, dance, art, craft and design. We intend to help schools enrich and extend their teaching of the National Curriculum, as well as tailor making our Workshops to the broader spectrum of youth communities, by providing our specialist knowledge and experience in a range of artistic and cultural contexts. In our workshops, the participants are actively involved, take a full part in the creative process and experience a sense of pride and achievement.

Cost per day: From £200 for most workshops, £270 for Balinese Gamelan mmusic, including van hire. All workshops allow for 30 participants per workshp leader.
Additional Costs: £1.50 per mask for Balinese Masked Dance-Drama Workshop, £2.50 per puppet for Shadow Puppet Making. Travel within a 15 mile radius of Eton Wick is free. All other mileage is charged at 30p per mile.
Materials: Require a large hall plus other work spaces if more than one workshop leader is required. All other resources are provided by Inspireworks.

Miso'shi
Assembly: an informal introduction of Ghana and Africa in general, celebrating the differences and drawing strength in the similarities and diversity of cultures in the UK and contributions interspersed with rhythm clapping and music and hand jive. Storytelling: encouraging listening, participation, recall, discussion, retelling, either through drama, dance or performance of the story. Opening doors into another culture, exploring the hidden meaning of the morals of the story, drawing out citizenship, PSHE. Dance: improvised using space, gestures, facial expression and music from Africa generally. Retell stories. Music: texture, pitch, tempo, duration, composing, listening to African rhythms and drumming. Fabric Arts: Ghanaian traditional printing using Adinkra printing motifs on blocks, tie and dye, safe batik. The background of each art-form is explained. The children are allowed to have ownership and encouraged to fully participate actively as well as listening.

Materials: Fabric arts materials: fabrics, paint, dyes. Music: sticks, objects to hand. Drums if possible. Miso'shi has drums - these would be difficult and more expensive to transport.

Ruth Wheeler
Sculpt it is a community arts organization run by Sculptor Ruth Wheeler. It offers a wide range of one off workshops, residencies and projects to suit each schools requirement' s using a variety materials and with many artists. Ruth herself specializes in offering workshops for children of any age in creating large living/ brown willow structures and dens, Stone/ wood carving projects creating any size sculpture and any kind of mosaic/ mural projects. Ruth also specializes in chainsaw art, creating sculptures or functional playground pieces. Ruth prides herself on her flexibility and professionalism with working with schools and believes in the pupils being involved in all aspects of the process , from the design phase to making an artwork. Projects are planned to work around ages, special needs, sizes of classes etc Sculpt it can offer other artists who specialize in felt making, screen printing , photography, installational art, ceramics, mixed media, glass casting. Ruth also has experience in coordinating large projects such as sculpture trails, gardens. Public art and arts weeks. Please call for details. We are currently planning the development of a schools package for projects and funding with Sonia Perival.
