The school was awarded a grant towards the cost of Gamelan Workshops run by InspireWorks for 120 children from Years 4 - 6. Over the four sessions, the children learned about Bali and its culture and way of life. They saw a video of real Gamelan players and dancers and learned a traditional piece of Balinese Gamelan music, performing the piece at the end of the sessions. The school highly recommended InspireWorks and rated the educational and entertainment value of the workshops as 10/10, supplementing as it did the music teaching in the school and providing pupils with experience of a new, different and exciting kind of music-making.
