Our Work

Established in 1993, we’re an independent charitable trust that promotes and develops the arts in the Borough of Elmbridge (Surrey, UK).

Through our work, we support and deliver arts related activities in:

  • Claygate

  • Cobham

  • Esher

  • Hersham

  • Hinchley Wood

  • Long Ditton

  • Molesey

  • Oatlands

  • Oxshott

  • Stoke D'Abernon

  • Thames Ditton

  • Walton-on-Thames

  • Weston Green

  • Weybridge

We have a total annual budget of around £155,000 and we use this to directly support arts in the borough by:

  • Awarding grants to local arts organisations, individuals and schools

  • Developing and managing our own projects and programmes of activities

  • Supporting key arts venues

  • Producing and distributing Arts Focus -- our quarterly what’s on listings magazine.

OUR FIVE OBJECTIVES

Click on the interactive panel below to discover more about our five objectives.

1. Encouraging excellence and innovation in the arts

Whether you’re just starting out or you’re professional, we’re here to support your new ideas and showcase your excellence.

COLLABORATING WITH THE COMMUNITY

For all our own projects and initiatives, we often partner with other charities, companies, schools, Elmbridge Borough Council, Surrey County Arts and local arts venues. We may also seek other funding partners, where necessary.

WHO DECIDES HOW THE TRUST SPENDS?

All of our work is overseen by our Board of Trustees which is made up of local councillors and independent members, who represent professional arts and other related specialisms.

Trustees meet four times a year to discuss the running of our organisation and to review grant applications and award grants.

We also have a small permanent team, which consists of Pete Allen, Trust Director and Sam Thompson, Project Manager / Administrator.

VOLUNTEERS

We’re also delighted to have support from a fantastic group of volunteers who donate their time and expertise to help us deliver our diverse programme of art-related activities.
