Giving young people opportunities to experience and express themselves through the arts is essential to their mental and physical wellbeing, and an important aspect of preparing them for life.

With a significant focus on STEM subjects in the UK school curriculum, we’re working to ensure children in our borough have opportunities to experience, participate in and be inspired by the arts -- That’s why we’ve contributed more than £10k in the last five years towards creative projects and improvements to arts facilities in our borough’s schools!

Hinchley Wood School is a state funded, non-selective 11-18 mixed comprehensive Academy.

In 2016, we award the school £1,000 towards the cost of new curtains and black drapes to develop the drama provision offered to students.

The improved facilities feel more professional and are available for use by community organisations and individuals.
